How To Stay Sane While Learning On The Job at

Twitter Alert!

New software will solve your biggest business hurdle.

Slack notification!

Instagram/Twitter/Facebook/Google just changed their algorithm.

Your best self called:

She says it’s high time you learned publicity/marketing/sales and the business gurus in your inbox just sent you their 10 newest webinars and they’re all happening right now!!!

My goodness! Is it ever enough?

It’s like a non-stop game of cat and mouse.

You learn a new skill only to realize you’ve just touched the surface.

This cycle can be thrilling, challenging, or just plain exhausting.

Running a business, it’s easy to get caught up in the chaos of learning.

Delight and danger are part of the job.

No course, no ebook, no coach can prepare you for everything.

You’re bound to run into things you don’t know or situations you can’t handle.

But today we’re going to do things a bit differently.

Today, we won’t be trying to hack our way through the week.

I’m not going to give you 50 pieces of advice on adjusting this or shifting that.

What’s good for SEO isn’t always good for you.

Today, if you’re reading this, you’re probably feeling a little overwhelmed.

Take a moment to check in with yourself.

How are you? How’s your back?

Did you eat today? When was the last time you took a deep breath?

If you’re overwhelmed with choices, close your eyes.

What feels good?

What task on your to do list feels lighter than the rest?

What software actually excites you?

Which client is sparking your creativity?

What do you gravitate towards when you procrastinate?

You know more about what’s best for you than anyone else.

I know there are certain things that just need to get done.

And since you’re an adult, with a business to run, I know you’ll figure them out.

Maybe you’ll delegate some things.

Maybe you’ll put some things off for another day or get a burst of energy and get shit done.

Maybe you’ll get some green juice or take a nap or run 10 miles or binge some Netflix.

Whatever it is, remember that you always have a choice.

Just because options are out there doesn’t mean you have to take one, or any, of them.

Running a business is all about learning.

Taking things one step at a time,

giving yourself time to grow

and fall

and breathe your way through the tough stuff.

We all have our good days and bad days.

I hope today gets a bit better for you 🙂
